The City Waterfront offers a completely different experience.
Instead of sandy beaches, you'll find a lively promenade lined with seafood restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping malls, and local markets. It's the heart of the city, making it easy to explore on foot.
Although you won't have a beach outside your hotel, many rooms offer beautiful views across the sea, especially at sunset.
During my stay here, I rarely needed transportation. I could walk to dinner, visit Gaya Street, browse Suria Sabah Shopping Mall, and catch a boat from Jesselton Point - all within a short distance.
If sightseeing is your priority, staying near the waterfront is far more convenient than staying at a secluded beach resort.
